Project Introduction:
T2 Trunk Road and Cha Kwo Ling Tunnel are the middle section of Route 6, connecting the Central Kowloon Route in the west and the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel in the east (to be Blue Tunnel) main tunnel.
Route 6 is an important part of the strategic road network in Hong Kong, providing a major artery between West Kowloon and the new town of Tseung Kwan Road with traffic interchanges at Kai Tak and Lam Tin.
Route 6 is also an essential highway infrastructure, which can play a strategic transportation function to support new development projects, including West Kowloon Chemical District, West Kowloon Station of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, Cruise Terminal, Kai Tak Development Area and Kowloon East Core Business District, and Residential/industrial development in Tseung Kwan .
